Voila! Some success. I have received a marriage record from the Roman Catholic Church in Gluszyna for Joseph Plenzler and Eva Dauer via the Poznan Project. This is the church record, not the civil record, dated November 9, 1879.
Here is a transcription:
No. 25
Copulationis: 1879
Dies: November 9
Nomen Sacerdotis Copulantis: Edwardus Anndsburg (sp?)
Copulatorum Nomen et Cognemen — Condition et professio — Locas habitationis: Josephus Plenzler, juvenis, et Eva Dauer, virgo — ambo e Wiorek.
Actas Sponsi :24
Actas Sponsae: 22
Religio: Cath.
Prolamatio Bannorum: Dom: XX, XXI, XXII p. Pentes
Testes: Joannes Plenzler, Martinus Leseicki, Wiorek
Adonations: 8 Listopada
So it appears as if Joseph and Eva were married November 8, 1879 and the marriage recorded the following day and lived in Wiorek. Am uncertain who the John Plenzler mentioned here is–possibly a brother? Also am unsure of who Martin Leseicki is. A cousin? (Joseph’s mother is Mary or Marianna Leseicka).
More information to follow regarding this marriage and the marriage of Andrew Przybylski and Frances Rochowiak in the future as I understand the state archives in Poznan are closed for the month of July and the Gniezno archives are now being rebuilt for the Chometowo records.
Please contact me if you would like a copy of this record.

I would love to have the original. Would you like me to send you the original I have of the Jacob Niemier marriage I have from Poznan?

Sorry… also I have heard from John Plenzler that there was an older brother named John. Just no info on him, if he came here or not.
Here is a possibility from Poznan…
Catholic parish in G?uszyna [Gluschin], entry # 29 in 1877 score: Groom: 100%
Joannes Plenzler (20) (born in 1857)
Marianna Krych (19) (born in 1858)
this would make him a younger brother?

Thanks! There were Plenzlers coming out of the woodwork it appears…extremely large family!
Yes, I do believe he would be a younger brother.
I can do some digging through the Toledo records to see if there were any hints on his presence there. It seemed as if they had all migrated to the states during the early 1800s, which makes sense. Bismark started Kulturekampf in the 70s to oppress the Catholics and had many priests and nuns were being expelled by the 1880s–arrested during church services if they were in anyway discussing politics from the pulpit (or even perceived to be).

Maybe the John Plenzler that my Dad stated lived in/near Argyle (Argalie) Minn. Mt dad’s father visited his brother John or maybe he was a cousin in Minnisota when my dad was a young boy.
There was also a John Plenzler with a brother Ludwig that lived in the Chicago area but contact in Chicaga had no knowledge of Joseph and Ewa Dauer. This John was also in the MArine Corp in Hawaii aboput 1910.

I have been inactive on the family tree for some time. Hope to get active soon again.

[…] When the church record for Joseph Plenzler’s and Marianna Lesiecka’s marriage arrived, so did the civil marriage record for Joseph Plenzler (son of Joseph and Marianna) and Eva Dauer. Joseph Plenzler’s and Eva Dauer’s marriage record from the Catholic church in Gluszyna is located here. […]
